Chest and Head trauma

In this section, we look at the incidence and pathophysiology of chest injuries. We then drill down into each type of chest injury and look at the optimal pre-hospital critical care management. We also examine the pitfalls of treatment to give a balanced understanding of each intervention. 

We then examine the epidemiology and pathophysiology of head injuries within pre-hospital care. We progress to look at types of brain Injury together with scoring systems and the limitations of these. We then explore the practical and pharmacological strategies to manage these patients. We finally look at some tips and tricks with chest and head injury management to optimally manage this difficult subset of patients.
