About the Course

In this session, we explore the sensitive signs & examination tools to guide your assessment & treatment of the chest. We also take a look at the use of ultrasound and its diagnostic sensitivity in detecting chest injuries.

We go on to explore the spectrum of chest pathologies found in the pre-hospital environment and optimal treatment for each. We also provide some useful acronyms for sequential and methodical review. We also examine the usefulness of chest seals and their uses for open chest wounds.
